About the Useme requirements management tool

We at Etish are the proud parents of Useme, our proposed open requirements management tool which is based, of course, on the Eclipse platform. The official launch date of the project was 24 July 2007 and you can take a look at our related press release if you wish.

Useme is an exciting new open source product that fills what we believe is a very important niche in the software tools arena. Useme is a collaborative tool that automates the capture and the subsequent maintenance of user requirements for new software functionality. The tool facilitates the utilisation of industry standards and best practices in requirements capture. Useme is based upon a number of industry standard technologies, the most relevant of which are the Eclipse Tools Platform and the Glassfish Java J5EE application server.

Best of all, you will not have long to wait before being able to try Useme out. The software has been in production for in house use at Etish Limited for several years. Therefore, we will be able to make the first public release of the software as an open source project this November.

Please visit the Useme Project website on java.net. There you will find a wealth of information about Useme and also on how you can become a member of the Useme Community if you wish.

We hope that you find Useme as helpful as we do.

If you wish to receive our Useme related newsletter, please subscribe to our mailing list. Should you have any questions about Useme or the open source project, please contact us via email at useme@etish.org and we will be pleased to assist you.
